What is this?
The Telegram tab in Platform Settings is an information page about the Telegram channel — connecting Telegram bots to the inbox and sending broadcasts and campaigns to Telegram groups and channels. It has no settings of its own: users connect their own bot with a bot token, so no platform credentials are needed. The tab shows what the feature does, whether it is enabled, and a shortcut to Platform Visibility. This tab requires the Telegram channel add-on. If it isn’t available, the tab shows a lock icon and a message that Telegram is not included in your license or platform add-on — contact support or purchase the add-on to enable it.
What can I do here?
- Read how Telegram works: availability follows the license, your platform add-on, and each user’s plan
- Check the Enabled badge to confirm Telegram is available on your platform
- Click Platform Visibility to open the visibility settings and control who can see Telegram
How to use it
- Go to Platform Settings and open the Telegram tab.
- Check that the Enabled badge is showing. If you see the lock icon instead, the add-on isn’t active.
- To show or hide Telegram for users, click Platform Visibility and change the setting. See Platform Visibility.
- To give a customer access, turn on the Telegram feature for them: it is a row on the user’s Features tab under Platform Users, or in the plan itself under Platform Plans.
Troubleshooting / Technical Notes
- The tab shows a lock icon. The Telegram add-on isn’t active for your installation or platform. Purchase or enable the add-on.
- Users cannot connect a Telegram bot. Check that Telegram is enabled for their plan and visible in Platform Visibility. There is no platform credential to enter here — each user connects with their own bot token.
- I can’t find any Telegram settings to change. That’s expected — this tab is informational only.
